Fat City Recordings
Fat City Recordings is an independent record label. It emerged in 1998 from the Fat City Records shop originally situated in Affleck's Palace in the Northern Quarter, Manchester, but which has now moved onto Oldham Street.
The label has released a number of compilation albums featuring hip hop, funk and electronic music.
Fat City is also involved in the Friends and Family club nights and its predecessor Counter Culture Promotions. These club nights usually take place in The Roadhouse in Manchester and Cargo in London. The Friends and Family nights were formerly put on in conjunction with Grand Central Records until that label ceased operating in 2006.
